Akira Takeuchi received the “31st Outstanding Student Presentation Award (学生優秀発表賞)” at the 154th Acoustical Society of Japan (ASJ) Autumn Meeting 2025, held from September 10 to 12, 2025, in Sendai, Japan.
He presented a paper titled “The Role of Self-Construal in Auditory Spatial Attention: Neural Responses to Masking Noise in Speech-in-Noise Tasks (聴覚的空間注意に文化的自己観が及ぼす影響:雑音環境下での音声聴取におけるマスキングノイズに対する事象関連電位を用いた分析).” This study focuses on the relationship between listeners’ auditory spatial attention and their cultural background.
