As part of the Pre-symposium Workshop series, our lab will host a session on “Aural Heritage,” one of our core research areas. The workshop, titled <Conserving and Auralising Cultural Acoustics via Aural Heritage Research>, will be facilitated on-site by Professor Kim and Professor Doyuen Ko from Belmont University. In addition, three of our lab members, Rai Sato, Sungjoon Kim and Jungwoo Park will be joining as assistants to ensure smooth proceedings.

Following the workshop, on Tuesday, the 26th, a presentation of our lab’s paper <Place-based Virtual Reconstruction of Heritage Soundscape: A Case Study of Magoksa Temple, UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Korea>, written by Kyung Taek Oh et al., will be given.

Experts and researchers from around the globe will convene under the theme “Preserving Cultural Heritage through Digital Technology,” sharing insights and envisioning the future of cultural preservation in the age of artificial intelligence.
