The talks will cover the evolution of AFC algorithms, the current ecosystem of immersive products, and the latest spatial audio research developed at AIRIS Lab.

공간에 대한 이해와 제어는 미디어 기술의 발전과 함께 가장 중요한 요소로 떠오르고 있습니다. 애플사에서 제안한 Spatial Computing의 개념이 확장 현실이라는 매체 기술의 발전과 함께 가장 중요한 키워드 중 하나로 떠오르고 있습니다. 그러나 동시에 공간을 구성하는 음향 및 소리에 관한 제어는 아직도 초보적인 단계에 머물러 있어 미디어, 공연, 설치 예술이라는 빠르게 발전하는 디지털 매체에 있어서 전체적인 몰입감과 멀티모덜 일치에 방해요소가 되는 현실입니다. 이러한 시점에, 공간 음향 제어 기술을 30년 이상 발전시켜 온 일본 야마하사의 Active Field Control (AFC) 기술에 대해서 실제 개발자 및 현장 책임자들의 경험을 들으며 앞으로의 음 공간 제어 기술의 방향에 대해서 논의해 볼 수 있는 워크샵 자리를 마련했습니다. 동시에 카이스트 아이리스 랩에서 진행해 오고 있는 AFC관련 AI 기술에 대해서도 소개하는 기간을 가지고자 합니다. 발표 세션 후에 Open Discussion 그리고 AIRIS랩에 설치된 시스템을 통해서 AFC기술의 현 주소를 심도있게 경험해볼 수 있는 이번 이벤트에 여러분들을 초대합니다.
